"The only explanation I can give," commented McFadden when asked about the buying frenzy, "is that people were doing a lot of pre-Christmas cooking and they wanted more kitchen utensils. The other reason may be last-minute shoppers looking for small gifts for friends and family."
"We owe Jim a big thanks," commented a NoRisk Trading spokesperson. "He really pulled us out of the fire. He won't say exactly how he accomplished it, but Jim had a truckload of EZ Grip silicone spatulas at our Mufreesboro warehouse before we actually ran out of them. We didn't have to tell one shopper we were out of them."
McFadden would only shrug and smile when asked to explain. "I was just doing my job." he said with a slight bow of his head.
