Los Angeles , CA -- Above Stars, a solo electropop artist, recently announced his plans to record a new EP with Kevin Gates, an accomplished gold-selling producer who has worked with talented artists such as The Ready Set, Never Shout Never, and Cady Groves.
To fund his musical venture, Above Stars has launched a fundraiser on Kickstarter. The money raised will go towards paying for the recording, mastering, mixing, and marketing of the EP. A portion of the funds will also pay for band merchandise and hard copies of the EP to be designed, manufactured, and shipped. In exchange for donations, Above Stars is offering contributors a number of perks, such as digital downloads of singles, stickers, wristbands, unlimited access to shows, and private shows.
According to an article available on the artist’s Kickstarter page, Above Stars—also known as Miika—has been playing music since he was seven years old. However, it was not until last year that the musician decided to create Above Stars and play solo electropop music. Over the course of the year, Above Stars has moved to Nashville; played shows in Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia; created several popular remixes; and released cover song music videos via YouTube.
Above Stars is extremely excited to collaborate with Gates on the new EP, especially because it is a great way for him to continue his journey into the music industry.
“Recording this EP with Kevin will mean opening many doors of opportunity such as major industry connections, industry credibility, and—most importantly—more touring and show opportunities to come play music and meet my fans,” said Above Stars.
