Spider-Man's New Costume and Backstory Emphasis in Sequel reports Costumes And Parties

(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, November 23, 2012 ) London, U.K -- Twenty-nine year-old actor and star of “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”, Andrew Garfield, shared his method of coming to terms with his character, as well as the rumored costume change.

The L.A.-born thespian joked with E! News when asked about the suit change, stating, “The suit is undergoing a redesign because I couldn’t urinate in it last time. So I’m less nervous ‘cause that’s gonna be nice.”

Garfield shared how he went about exploring the character of Peter Parker in the sequel, noting how the focus on his orphan life would be emphasized.

"I feel really excited," he gushed. "I feel like we got over a hump with our first one. We had to reinstate the character, and we had to reinvigorate an audience to the character. And I hope to bring more of this theme - the theme of the orphan."

"I wanna keep exploring that theme of being fatherless, being motherless, searching for purpose and finding a purpose within himself, being a self-made man, I guess," the British-American actor opened up at the Worldwide Orphans gala in New York City on Tuesday, November 13.

Garfield continued to expound in the development of the Parker in “The Amazing Spider-Man” sequel.

"It is a responsibility to play that role, and I don't take it lightly. I think there's so much to explore with that mythology and within the tension between living a double life, struggling with being good, struggling with choosing good behavior over bad behavior, with the pressures of a city on your shoulders."

The new movie will reconnect the Garfield as well as his character’s girlfriend “Gwen Stacey” played by Stone. Reports note that Mary Jane, the ultimate love-interest of the Peter Parker character will also make an appearance. Shailene Woodley will play the part of “M.J.”, while Jamie Foxx is reportedly tapped for the villain, Electro.
