Canadian Prime Minister Gives Bride and Groom a Day to Remember reports Photo Booth

(Entertainment-NewsWire.com, November 14, 2012 ) Queensland, Australia - Jocelyne Potvin and Patrick Sullivan will have a photo album to truly remember as they were graced with a chance meeting of Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

The couple were enjoying their most important day and supremely special occasion in Ottawa, when the prime minister stopped by to congratulate the couple and pose for a few pictures.

According to photographer Laura Kelly, the wedding party took place in Rockliffe Park on Saturday, when during the event, those in attendance noticed three black cars pulling into the parking lot.

Kelly wrote about the experience on her blog, saying: “Someone jokingly says, ‘I bet you it's the Prime Minister or something!’”

As the cars were preparing to leave the park, the Prime Minister emerged, with security in tow, and went to congratulate the couple.

Kelly was given the optimum opportunity as a photographer to snap photos of the special occasion. Kelly’s photographs ranged from the casual conversation between the groom, bride, and PM, to more formal snapshots.

PM Harper was dressed down in a pair of blue jeans and sports coat. He took the time to pose with the entire wedding party, in a formal photo of the Prime Minister with the bride, groom, groomsmen and bridesmaids.

Kelly noted that the best part of the entire interaction between the Prime Minister and the couple. When Harper asked if the wedding had already taken place, asking “So, have you already done it?” the groom, misunderstanding the question, replied “Nope, first time.”

Kelly was able to manage a photo of herself with the prime minister as well. After introducing herself, the Prime Minister suggested someone take her camera to snap a photo.

Let’s see if someone can work your camera,” he said. So the bride took the camera and snapped a photo, said Kelly.
